How to make windows 10 faster in the big 2026

windows 10 is probably one of the most used operating system of all time and it has a reason behind it.

It was a huge upgrade from windows 8.More features,user friendly interface and many more.In 2026 many people still use it on there main system.Although it has some security concerns.

Many software are now built for windows 11 which is very much heavier than windows 10 and needs higher specs.But with some simple tips it can be still usable.

1. Disable all startup software from task manager.press shift+ctrl+esc then go to startup and try to disable all the softwares because it automaticly starts when you turn on the pc which makes your cpu work more.

2.Turn Off Visual Effects & Transparency

**Press Win + R, type sysdm.cpl, and press Enter.

Go to the Advanced tab and click Settings under Performance.

Select Adjust for best performance, or keep Custom and enable only Smooth edges of screen fonts to keep text readable.

**Go to Settings (Win + I) > Personalization > Colors and turn off Transparency effects.

3.Switch to High Performance Power Plan

Press Win + R, type powercfg.cpl, and press Enter.

Select High Performance (or Ultimate Performance if available).

4.Try to clear all the junk files/temp files

first go to settings and then storage then you will get temporary file option and clear them all

Try to get a ssd and install windows on the ssd and make sure ssd has enough storage which helps to load windows more faster.
